From Orlando, Florida, Kimberly Burns has been interested in costuming and fashion since a young age. She has enjoyed dressing up as characters from her favorite shows early in life and decided to make fashion and costume design her career. Rather than playing dress up with gowns or as animals, she expresses herself with fashion. Acknowledging the importance of geek couture as fashion, expressing oneself through a favorite character, has become her belief, to inspire people to build a community.
