Ally Crocker would watch movies and play basketball growing up in San Diego, California, but was not interested in clothing or fashion until she fell in love with costume designing after seeing, “The Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring” Extended Edition. Ally pursued this interest with a bachelor’s degree in Technical Theatre from Cal Lutheran University, and continued on to FIDM, receiving degrees in Fashion Design and Advanced Theatre Costume Design.
She now lives in Los Angeles and works for Universal Studios Hollywood, making (and distressing) costumes. It is Ally’s belief, as an introvert, that geek culture and fashion is important for expressing oneself and sparking connections with individuals can be in various ways.
