With opening day for baseball season postponed, Major League Baseball and Fantatics, makers of jerseys for professional teams and fans alike have teamed up to fight this outbreak.
Fanatics has changed over their production facility to making masks and gowns to protect healthcare workers. They even have decided to use the fabric meant for making the professional uniforms, which will be distributed to healthcare facilities through out Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York.
The millions of yards of fabric destined for Yankees and Phillies jerseys are now becoming masks and gowns approved by health agencies. Fanatics started producing masks and gowns on Tuesday, and hope to produce nearly 15,000 masks and gowns a day.
