Lynne Martens is a fashion designer, cosplayer and costume maker from Los Angeles California. She has expertise in many aspects of garment construction, ageing, dyeing, corsetry, as well as experience in draping and fashion history.
This year was her third year competing on the runway, at the Her Universe Fashion Show 2018. Her style is to combine vintage and couture fashion with pop culture, which she sells through her brand, Classy Looking Nerf Herder. Her love and appreciation of fashion and creation comes from when her mother taught her to sew at the age of nine years old.
This year’s entry was a gown and head-piece which represents, Dumbledore’s pet phoenix Fawks, from Harry Potter. the dress began as a short skirt with large gathered collar, which when she reached the end of the runway, dropped to make a large “flaming” feather tail train.
