Battle of the Salons PHX 2017 - Oct15

When I heard that my friend and fellow creative, Kiersten Carson, was participating in a Battle of the Salons event in Phoenix, I knew I wanted to photograph it.  It turns out this event was amazing!  Having the journalistic style I do, I had cover the runway evenly.  I couldn’t just shoot one group.  I didn’t know what to expect going in, but it turned out great!

Take a look and see for yourself…

So it looks like I’ll be making the trip up to phoenix again next week, Kiersten’s group continues onto the next round.

Congratulations to all teams who made if to the next level. I’ll be following the competition in Phoenix, since Kiersten and two models I have worked with previously are participating with a team up there, instead of at home in Tucson.

P.S. If you work in a salon and are participating in an event such as this, and want promotion level images, then let the professional photographers be able to see the runway. Everyone holding their phone up to record their group, prevents those who have dedicated their life to producing images of your work, from doing their job to share your creations. Don’t be Uncle Bob at the wedding, I’m not going to name names but you all know who I’m talking about.
