Growing up Kimberly Burns spent most of her time reading and playing dress up. She would imagine worlds with her and her favorite characters having adventures. She always has had an interest in fashion, leading her to a career in fashion and costuming. She says that Geek Couture is important in how it allows people to be closer to their favorite stories and allows those stories and characters to empower them everyday.
Kimberly’s entry this year is a dress based on Sally from Tim Burton’s Nightmare Before Christmas, representing her patchwork “frankendoll” look.
