Rebecca Hook Jewelry at Disney Dream Store

D23Expo2019 - Disney Dream Store

A highlight for me while attending D23 Expo (August 23-25,2019), was having the opportunity to “Shop Disney” to my heart’s content.  I visited all the booths on the convention floor in addition to The Disney Store, Mickey’s of Glendale, and The Dream Store several times during the Con. My absolute favorite place to shop was The Dream Store.

They had the best 50th Anniversary Haunted Mansion artwork, new designs in Mickey Mouse ears, (Princess Leia, a “Hipster”, and a Tiki Room were on display), Precious Moments dolls, a Dapper Dans collection of clothes, and Mickey Balloons items such as shirts and buttons.

While shopping for that very she is item to represent my visit to D23, I came across the jewelry by Rebecca Hook.  She is an Orlando native and has been designing for Disney for three years. Rebecca attended D23 all three days to show her 3 outstanding designs for the event.  She spent quite a bit of time explaining to me her inspiration for the designs, and we discussed her three children for a bit. Her sincerity was evident when I explained that I wanted to explore all of her designs before I made the decision as to which one I would purchase.  (She has designed many other Disney jewelry items not specific to D23.)

Rebecca’s D23 collection included three exquisite necklaces, each outstanding on their design.  The first was a sterling silver semi-circle castle, outlined in cubic zirconia with D23 Expo relief.  The second design was a sterling silver bar, also outlined in cubic zirconia, with D23 in black enamel, and the third spectacular necklace and earring set highlighted the year in white gold with D23 in the center of a Mickey, outlined with diamonds.  The third design was limited to only 23 available.

After researching all the designs available, I decided to return to The Disney Dream Store, where Rebecca had her display, and purchased the castle design.  She assisted me with my selection, discussed other items “in the works”, and a bit about her background. Rebecca was very gracious throughout our talk and suggested that I look into her Haunted Mansion 50th Anniversary designs.  Finally, she signed the box for authenticity. I will continue to search for Rebecca Hook Disney jewelry, especially the “event/movie” specific items.
